There were no reported injuries from the incident, but the runway was temporarily shut down as airport personnel proceeded to remove the aircraft from the runway, as stated in a Facebook post by CLT Airport.

The plane journey, which was carried out on a Boeing 717 airplane, took off from Atlanta at approximately 7:25 in the morning, as stated by Delta. The total number of individuals on board included 96 passengers, two pilots, and three flight attendants.

Delta stated on its website that when the aircraft was nearing its destination, CLT, the pilots received an indication that the nose gear was not secure. In response, the crew decided to perform a missed approach procedure in order to thoroughly examine the indication.

According to the airline's statement, preliminary information reveals that the crew decided to pass by the air traffic control tower in Charlotte for a visual inspection of the aircraft. This assessment revealed that the nose landing gear doors were open, however, the actual nose gear had not descended.

Delta reported that the aircraft touched down in Charlotte at precisely 8:58 a.m. EDT, with the front landing gear not deployed.

For the majority of the day, the runway was not in operation. By approximately 7 p.m., the airport made a statement on its official webpage, stating that the plane had been taken away from Runway 18R/36L and the runway underwent a thorough examination.

Landed Smoothly!

Passenger Chris Skotarczak stated that the pilots and crew exhibited a sense of composure and composure during the unexpected landing on Wednesday morning.

"The team rose to the occasion and began reviewing all the protocols and measures for procedures and emergency safety," Skotarczak stated.

I spotted the silhouette of the airplane and noticed that the front wheels were not deployed. We increased the engine power and circled around for a while before eventually descending to land. The landing was executed flawlessly, and both the pilots and crew demonstrated remarkable composure. The atmosphere inside the cabin remained peaceful, and everyone stayed composed.

Delta issued a statement to CNN, emphasizing the utmost significance of ensuring the safety of both customers and employees. Although such incidents are rare, Delta's flight crews undergo extensive training to effectively handle various situations. Consequently, flight 1092 managed to land safely without any reported injuries. Delta expresses its sincere apologies to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused during this occurrence.

All travelers were transported by bus from the aircraft and escorted to the main building.

According to a representative from the airport, a few Delta flights have experienced delays due to the occurrence.

According to the FAA, the airport kept two additional runways operational while the impacted runway was out of service.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will conduct an inquiry into the reason behind the failure of the aircraft's front landing gear to deploy during the landing process. Simultaneously, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is conducting its own investigation into the matter.

This report was made possible by the contributions of Pete Muntean, Jamiel Lynch, and Caroll Alvarado from CNN.
