Dow Futures Rise Before Holiday Break

Stock futures in the US went up on Sunday evening. The rise came before the Memorial Day public holiday. The increase followed promising debt ceiling talks. PCE data also had higher than expected results. Benchmark averages had a good week overall.

At 7:05pm ET (11:05pm GMT), the Dow Jones Futures went up by 0.3%. The S&P 500 Futures increased by 0.4%. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq 100 Futures also grew by 0.6%.

Investors are keeping an eye on various data this week. These include CB consumer confidence, JOLTS job openings, ADP nonfarm employment, ISM and Markit PMIs, and average hourly earnings. They will also be monitoring nonfarm payrolls data. Moreover, there will be speeches from FOMC member Bowman, Harker, and Jefferson from the Fed.

The Dow Jones got up by 328.7 points. The S&P 500 gained 54.2 points. The NASDAQ Composite rose by 277.6 points. These are the numbers from Friday's session.

America's 10-year rates on bond markets reached 3.81%.

Dow futures increase before public holiday. The market is expected to remain calm. Investors are optimistic about a possible increase in stocks. Trading will resume after the holiday.
