Combat entre Musk et Zuckerberg : "lieu épique", en Italie, pas à Rome... où aura lieu leur combat de "gladiat

Elon Musk

On June 21st, Elon Musk, the head of X (formerly Twitter), challenged his rival, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, to a fight. On Friday, August 11th, additional information was released regarding the location of the showdown.

Where will Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg showdown? In Italy, for sure. Elon Musk himself confirmed it on his X account (formerly known as Twitter) on Friday, August 11. Until then, the most likely hypothesis was a fight in a UFC stadium (world MMA league) in the United States.

The fight will be live-streamed on X and on Meta's social media platforms.

The CEO of Tesla and Space X has stated that he has "had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Italy and the Minister of Culture" and that they "have agreed on a magnificent location."

The competition will be overseen by our foundations, mine and Zuck's, rather than the UFC.

The live broadcast will take place on this platform as well as Meta. The entire visual content within the camera's frame will showcase the era of ancient Rome, with absolutely no modern elements included.

I had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Italy and the Minister of Culture. They have reached a consensus on a magnificent venue.

He also guarantees that the clash, overseen by the respective organizations of the two individuals, will take place in an environment reminiscent of the "ancient Rome," completely devoid of any modern elements.

Plain and simple, Elon Musk desires a "gladiator" showdown.

Shortly after this announcement, the Italian Ministry of Culture confirmed that a phone call had taken place with Elon Musk and that a "conversation" is currently "underway for a charitable event," as reported by Le Parisien.

"I had a lengthy friendly conversation with Elon Musk, we discussed our shared passion for ancient Roman history," stated Italian Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano on Friday.

This addition states: "We are contemplating how to arrange a significant charitable event, with a historical theme, while maintaining a high regard for and fully safeguarding the premises."

Regarding the "epic location" mentioned by Elon Musk, the minister has verified that it will not be Rome. X's boss, who wanted to fight in the Colosseum, will therefore not be able to fulfill his dream.

Why Do Elon Musk And Mark Zuckerberg Want To Fight?

Since 2014, and a declined invitation from Mark Zuckerberg to Elon Musk to discuss the future with artificial intelligences, the two men have been at odds.

Two years later, the leader of Meta had also criticized his rival following the explosion of a Space-X rocket, a company owned by Elon Musk, which was carrying a Facebook satellite. He had expressed his profound disappointment that "the SpaceX launch failure" had "destroyed our satellite that would have provided connectivity to so many entrepreneurs and everyone else across the continent," reports 20 Minutes.

Then, on June 21st, the creator of Open AI and Neuralink declared himself "ready for a cage match if Mark Zuckerberg is" while rumors circulated about the upcoming release of Threads, a social network by Méta that would rival X.

In July, as Threads experienced tremendous growth, Twitter (at the time) continued to struggle in the aftermath of previous months following its acquisition by Elon Musk, thereby intensifying their newfound rivalry.
