"The battle will be orchestrated" by their respective foundations, he added. "I have spoken with the Italian Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture. They have agreed to an extraordinary location," he emphasized, supplementing his message with the single word "Gladiator" in a subsequent post.
The Battle Won't Happen In Rome
The Italian Minister of Culture, on the other hand, stated that he is in talks with Elon Musk regarding the planning of a "significant charity event related to history," according to a statement released on Friday. "This event will not take place in Rome," Gennaro Sangiuliano added, dismissing the possibility of a showdown at the Colosseum, as Elon Musk had suggested back in late June.
The amount that could be raised by the event, estimated to be "several million euros, will be donated to two Italian children's hospitals," added the minister, hoping to take advantage of this opportunity to "promote our history." "The entire event will pay tribute to Italy's past and present," said Elon Musk on the platform he acquired last year for $44 billion.
