MGM Resorts reported that they have found a security problem in their computer systems. They acted immediately to protect their data and systems by shutting down some of them. However, they did not disclose the extent of the shutdown, which systems were affected, and other essential information about the event.

According to stories told by customers, they have experienced problems when it comes to reserving their bookings, operating ATMs, playing specific games, and using mobile keys to access their hotel rooms. Engadget cannot confirm these claims as they have not conducted their own investigation. MGM Resorts has notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department about the incidents, but the department stated that federal agencies are usually responsible for addressing such occurrences.
