Thanks to its black underpinnings, this new electric Mini Cooper appears to be firmly planted on the road. It is quite streamlined, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.28. Additionally, its rear end is striking with customizable vertical lights and a black strip that divides the hatchback in half. The diameter of the wheels ranges from 16 to 18 inches. The car is available in four different trim levels known as Essential, Classic, Favoured, and John Cooper Works.

Technically, the new Mini Cooper electric car can be set up with two different motor options. Simply called the E, the first one has an electric engine with 184 horsepower and 290 Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The second one has a more powerful engine, with 218 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque, reducing the time to complete the exercise to 6.7 seconds.

In option E, this electric Mini Cooper comes equipped with a 40.7 kWh battery underneath. According to the WLTP homologation cycle, the range reaches 305 kilometers. The Cooper SE has a 54.2 kWh battery to enjoy an enhanced range of 402 kilometers. Charging is possible with direct current (DC) of either 75 or 95 kW depending on the version. In the best case scenario, going from 10 to 80% available range takes "just under 30 minutes," according to Mini.

The main highlight of this fourth-generation Mini Cooper is its interior. The dashboard has a unique curved design and is particularly minimalistic. The only feature present is a circular OLED screen measuring 24 centimeters in diameter. This display showcases the Mini OS 9 infotainment system and provides information such as speed, battery level, and customizable widgets. With the Mini Experience Modes, projections can be shown on the dashboard to create different interior atmospheres. Additionally, the Mini OS 9 boasts an intelligent personal assistant that can be activated through the voice command "Hey Mini".

In the lower part of the dashboard, a control bar makes it easy to access the parking brake, gear selector, and start button in the Mini Electric Cooper.
