Fisker Alaska, le pick-up électrique qui s'attaque au Ford Ranger

Fisker has released fresh pictures and details of their upcoming truck, set to be unveiled in 2025.

During its "Product Vision Day," Fisker revealed its next three models, without going into too much detail. They chose to do it gradually. So, following the information on the Ronin GT, here's a closer look at the Alaska, the pickup truck.

The vehicle is 5.30 meters long. This size makes it more comparable to a Ford Ranger than a Ford F-150, the king of pick-up trucks in the United States. However, this could be a smart choice by Fisker, as the size of the Ranger is more globally accepted. And while Ford already offers an electric F-150, the same cannot be said for the Ranger. However, Ford still has time to react, as Fisker hopes to start production of the Alaska in early 2025.

The manufacturer has already announced two battery sizes: 75 and 113 kWh. This aims to provide a range of approximately 370 to 550 km. In terms of performance, depending on the model, it will take around 4 to 7.2 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The Alaska is built on a platform derived from the Ocean's. Fisker wishes to make it the lightest electric pickup truck in the market.

The most important aspect of a pick-up truck is, of course, the bed. This can be customized thanks to a removable wall. The window seamlessly integrates into this wall, which then folds towards the cabin. To protect the cabin, guards deploy towards the rear doors and behind the front seats. This creates a flat surface, with a minimum length of 1.37 meters extending to 2.80 meters once the bed is open. The electric motorization allows for a storage space under the front hood.

In terms of appearance, the Alaska has a futuristic vibe, resembling a concept car, complete with various light effects even in the truck bed. Depending on the versions, it will come with either 20 or 22-inch rims. The dashboard is centered around a large touchscreen. Fisker has also incorporated several practical features, such as an extra-large cup holder and a hat holder at the back!

The model is available for booking, including on the French website, but with a deposit of $250.
