Teddy Bear 'GiGi' Joins Historic Space Crew

Gigi, the teddy bear, joined Axiom Mission 2. The crew includes the first female Arab astronaut. It is a historic journey.

Axiom Space and Build-A-Bear Workshop joined forces. They sent a stuffed animal to space. Kids can learn about space and think about a job in STEAM.

Sandra Nelson, from Axiom Space, shared that they are thrilled to partner with Build-A-Bear. They want to inspire kids to learn about space exploration and how they are making it possible for more people to conduct scientific research.

GiGi is now a part of the Axiom Space team. She has recently joined the crew.

GiGi was made for future space explorers. We need them to discover beyond our current capabilities, make a sustainable future in low-Earth orbit, and take part in STEAM activities. With GiGi's help, we can do great science research.

GiGi flew into space with Ax-2 on Sunday. They took off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida using a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and a Dragon spacecraft.

Rayyanah Barnawi is a part of the crew. She is the first Arab and Saudi woman to go to space. Ali al-Qarni is also from the Kingdom.

The Saudi astronauts sent their first message on Monday. They were in outer space. The message thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia. They thanked them for their support, empowerment, and trust. Every Saudi should be proud, they said.

The Ax-2 mission is coming to the International Space Station on Monday at 9:24 a.m. ET. The hatch will open at 11:13 a.m. ET. A ceremony will be held for the new crew at 11:45 a.m. ET.

The team will go to the International Space Station. Sultan al-Neyadi is already there. They will stay for six months.

Saudi spacemen Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali al-Qarni say hi from space for the first time.

Saudi Arabia's initial expedition to space will start on May 21. This journey will have the first Saudi Arabian astronauts.

The Saudi astronauts have gone to space. In the group is the first female astronaut in the Arab world. They left the planet successfully. This is a historic event.
