Visa's She's Next Offers €50k Prize For Female Entrepreneurs

United Arab Emirates

Visa wants women entrepreneurs to join their She's Next competition. The competition hopes to empower women through entrepreneurship. It provides mentorship and educational opportunities. Entrants must be women business owners. The competition has three categories: start-up, social impact, and global expansion. Winners receive a $10,000 grant and mentorship from Visa executives. The deadline for entries is September 30th, 2021.

IFundWomen offers female small business owners a chance to win five grants worth €10,000 each. Winners will also receive one year coaching to help them grow their businesses.

Mandy Lamb, who runs Visa in the UK & Ireland, said it's good that Ireland is supporting female entrepreneurs. She thinks women leaders in business are very important for the future. Progress has been made, but there are still problems that need fixing for women in business.

Ireland has a high rate of early stage female entrepreneurs in Europe. However, only 37% of potential startups are led by women.

Lamb said they want to help women by giving them money, knowledge and guidance. This will help them grow and benefit society.

Last year's winner, Meredith Davis, from ReFunk UpCycling, said the money and coaching were helpful. They helped to grow the business and reach more customers. The coaching sessions about branding and team dynamics were particularly useful.

CEO Karen Cahn from IFundWomen said they're sure that women-led businesses can grow with funding and resources.

People can apply in five groups: micro business, early-stage business, small business, change makers, and innovation and technology.

To join, give business information and online presence at www.ifundwomen.com/visaireland. Deadline is July 21, 2023.
