During the event, the 717 accommodated a collective of 96 patrons along with a duo of pilots and a triumvirate of cabin crew members. An individual named Chris Skotarczak, who happened to be a passenger on the aircraft, captured pictures depicting the plane stationed on the tarmac with its nose making contact with the ground. Moreover, the emergency slides situated at the forefront of the aircraft swiftly inflated in response.

A message was posted on Twitter by Charlotte International Airport, stating that the runway had been shut down and travelers had been brought back to the terminal. The airport mentioned that they are currently putting in efforts to clear away the malfunctioning aircraft from the tarmac.

A representative from Delta, in response to CBS News, expressed that the well-being of their customers and staff is of utmost importance. Although incidents like these are infrequent, Delta's flight crews undergo thorough training to ensure the safe handling of various situations. Thankfully, flight 1092 safely landed with no reported injuries. Delta extends its apologies to their customers for any inconvenience caused during this incident.

According to Skotarczak's statement to the Associated Press, he observed that the front wheel of the aircraft was not under the plane's shade. If he had not noticed this or received any warnings regarding the landing, he would not have been aware of any issues.

The airplane captain informed us, 'We will descend, experience a loud bang, and listen to some considerable friction noise,' stated the individual. 'However, surprisingly, it was even more gentle than an average touchdown.'

According to him, travelers were instructed to abandon all their belongings inside the aircraft and departed through the slides, which he described as "the most awesome thing."
