PM Vows Energy Price Support At Hotel Launch

The Prime Minister, Robert Abela, opened a new hotel. He said the government will help the economy. The government wants to ease the effect of energy prices.

He said that he is happy with the €25 million investment and the government will keep giving incentives for private investments.

Abela spoke about how the government is working to help with the issue of seasonality in the tourism industry. He mentioned that the number of tourists in the first quarter of 2021 was higher than before the pandemic in 2019.

Abela stated that we need sustainable growth and must aim to attract higher quality tourists to a cleaner and more beautiful Malta.

This hotel is called AC Hotel by Marriott and is part of a worldwide chain. The Baystreet Group manages it. The hotel is located in Paceville. You can enjoy both indoor and outdoor swimming pools there.

Abela's wife, Lydia Abela, helped with the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Tourism Minister, Clayton Bartolo, was also there.
