Wild Waves Water Park Opens May 27

May 27

In 2023, Wild Waves Theme & Water Park in Federal Way will open for the season. They made some new changes. They also have some milestones to celebrate.

The park opens on May 27. Wild Waves will only take cards now. The stores, games, and restaurants accept credit cards, cash-free cards, and mobile payments. You can change your cash to debit cards at the park.

This year, some attractions are hitting milestones. The Timberhawk ride is turning 20. It's a big wooden roller coaster that's really tall. It goes 50 miles an hour. Another good ride is the Timber Axe. It's 21 years old. It shoots riders 70 feet up in the sky.

There are some new special events happening soon at the park. On Friday, June 16, there will be a big rollercoaster ride event held with the American Coaster Enthusiasts. And on Thursday, June 22, there will be a huge swimming lesson event in partnership with the World Waterpark Association.

In July, the park has celebrations. You can enjoy entertainment, music, and prizes. There are special guests too. Blast from the Past throwback weekends are from July 21 to July 30. In September, you can swim with your dog at Wags N' Waves. They have "yappy" hour specials on Tuesday, Sept. 12.

There will be Dive-In Movies every Thursday from June through August. Fright Fest weekends in October are also happening this season.

Wild Waves has new food. Tacos are now available. Aguas frescas are refreshing drinks. Fudge also has new flavors. The changes are for this season.

Wild Waves is hiring for summer. Apply at WildWaves.com if you're interested.

Wild Waves is now open on weekends and select days starting May 27. Daily operations start on June 16, but you should check their calendar for any exclusions. You can find Wild Waves at 36201 Milton Road S. in Federal Way.
