Elizabeth Holmes' prison term of 11 years has been diminished by a duration of two years ahead of time.

Information obtained from federal penitentiary documents examined by PEOPLE reveals that Holmes, currently 39 years old, is scheduled to be released on Dec. 29, 2032.

NBC News verified Holmes' scheduled release with a representative from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, who stated that prisoners can potentially secure an earlier release by exhibiting good conduct. This earlier release time is estimated within their anticipated date of liberation.

Last November, Holmes was given a prison term of 11 years and three months for being found guilty of various fraud charges. Holmes, the individual who established the blood-testing laboratory known as Theranos, has been residing in Federal Prison Camp Bryan, which is a low-security detention center situated in Bryan, Texas, since the end of April.

She faced charges for making untrue statements to investors about the blood-testing corporation. The jury found her guilty on four out of the eleven accusations, including three for wire fraud and one for conspiring to commit wire fraud.

Holmes swindled investors out of millions of dollars through her enterprise, wherein she deceitfully asserted the capacity to conduct numerous medical examinations with just a small quantity of a patient's blood. Nonetheless, a 2015 article authored by John Carreyrou in The Wall Street Journal uncovered her fabrication of favorable test outcomes and the actual ineffectiveness of her technology.

In 2015, Holmes faced allegations of deceiving investors by falsely claiming that Theranos would yield $1 billion in revenue. Prosecutors assert that she was aware the company would actually only generate a minimal amount, amounting to just a few hundred thousand dollars that year.

The roster of individuals who financially supported her expanded to encompass various prominent personalities from the United States. This list consisted of notable names such as the previous Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, as well as Rupert Murdoch and the Walton family. The Walton family is renowned for their immense wealth and for establishing Walmart.

Earlier this year, she lodged an appeal against her conviction after publicly announcing the arrival of her second child. She petitioned a judge to grant her the freedom to remain outside of prison as she continues to contest her case.

Nevertheless, the district attorneys argued that she was a habitual absconder who had previously attempted to escape the nation subsequent to her sentencing by purchasing an unreturnable ticket to Mexico.

The existence of Holmes is the focus of an HBO documentary and also a Hulu miniseries featuring Amanda Seyfried.
