Insolite: Le personnel du vol Atlanta-Barcelone déclenche une alerte au risque biologique… pour une épidémie d

Diarrhea

Numerous passengers on the Atlanta-Barcelona flight experienced a bout of diarrhea. The staff requested to return to the departure point in order to sanitize the aircraft.

The story is unusual and should even make the reader of these few lines smile, but the passengers and crew of last Friday's Atlanta-Barcelona flight experienced a real nightmare in the sky.

A foul-smelling and highly uncomfortable ordeal. Just moments after taking off from Atlanta (United States), a passenger was hit with a case of diarrhea. And, for an unknown reason, the website Elcaso.com reported that it spread throughout the entire plane.

Shortly after takeoff, a dreadful odor filled the airplane cabin, causing several passengers to experience bouts of diarrhea.

The crew then activated a biological risk alert for the remaining passengers. Typically reserved for chemical leaks or anthrax threats, this alert is very uncommon for cases of diarrhea. However, the crew explained to the control tower that they couldn't undertake such a long journey under such conditions.

The plane was thus given permission to return to Atlanta to get rid of the unpleasant smell and clean the cabin.

After these operations were carried out, the plane was able to continue its journey to Barcelona. While the wait was lengthy and the delay significant, the passengers had to express their gratitude to the staff for conducting this trip under much more tolerable conditions.
