Energy company stocks went up because investors weren't sure if the U.S. would go into debt default.

The Republicans stopped negotiating with the Biden administration. Quincy Krosby from LPL Financial thinks that energy spending could be an issue where both parties could agree on.

Natural gas futures decreased slightly, however, they ended the week with a 14% increase and neared their peak for the year.
