At the start of Monday's trading session, stocks had a varied performance, with electric vehicle (EV) companies taking the spotlight. This was due to the encouraging updates on vehicle deliveries that were announced over the weekend.

Just after the stock market opened on Monday morning, the S&P 500 (^GSPC) experienced a decrease of approximately 0.1%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) showed a slightly larger decline of around 0.3%, while the Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) saw a rise of 0.2%.

Tesla (TSLA) experienced a significant boost in its stock value, surging by over 6.5% during the initial trading period. The remarkable increase in value followed the release of the electric vehicle manufacturer's second-quarter production and delivery figures, representing unparalleled sales performance.

Apple's (AAPL) stock relinquished its Friday gains and fell below the neutral level, declining 0.2%, following the news from the Financial Times which disclosed that the renowned tech company had to revise its production predictions for the Vision Pro headset.

Trading in stocks will end at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday and will be suspended on Tuesday in observance of the July 4th celebration.
