According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, over 7.5 million Baby Shark bath toys were withdrawn from sale because they put children at risk of getting seriously hurt. The toys had to be taken off the market to avoid any potential harm to kids.

Zuru, the maker of Baby Shark and Mini Baby Shark Bath Toys, together with the CPSC, has decided to voluntarily recall these toys which come with hard plastic fins on top. The CPSC has declared that the shark toys' top fins can pose serious threats of "impalement, lacerations, and punctures" which can be harmful to children.

The organization stated that the enterprise from California was informed of 12 instances of youngsters toppling or coming to rest on the Baby Shark bath toy, which has been recalled. This resulted in injuries, with nine of them demanding stitches or medical help.

The CPSC has reported that retailers across the United States have sold bath toys with prices ranging from $6 to $20. These stores include Walmart, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General Corp., Family Dollar Services, HEB Grocery Company, Meijer, Target, TJX Companies, Ross, and Walgreens. In addition, these toys can be purchased online at Target.com, Walmart.com, and Amazon.com.

According to the announcement made by the CPSC, there haven't been any injuries or accidents associated with the Mini Baby Shark bath toys.

Customers are recommended to discontinue using the toys that have been recalled and promptly reach out to Zuru to obtain a complete reimbursement.

The corporation has guidelines posted on its webpage for signing up to participate in the recall process. The website also clarifies that the complete version of the Baby Shark Bath Toy that includes a silicone top fin hasn't been subject to the recall, as of March.

According to information provided on their website, if you notice that the uppermost fin on your shark feels more pliable than the rest of the body and there is a noticeable division between the silicone and plastic areas of the fin, then it should be noted that this particular top fin is composed of silicone and therefore not subject to the current recall.
